What's In My Travel Makeup Bag

It’s been a while since I have shared the contents of my makeup bag, I have recently gone through it, chucking out those dirty tissues from testing lipsticks in stores and the packaging of plasters. Now I have a nice clean makeup bag with lots of different makeup in.

The bag itself:

The makeup bag I use has been well loved as you can tell by the fading of the writing. I’ve had it for about a year, I received this from my friend for my birthday. I love the saying on the front ‘Real-Life Photoshop for my face’ I think it’s such a fun little saying! Inside is a bright, pink material which runs with the pink theme of the bag, another little touch is the zip which has an engraving saying ‘The bright side’ which is a great mood booster! It’s really good quality and is very strong which is always good for how much I like to jam into it!

The contents inside:

I like to have as much in my bag as possible, you know, for those ‘Just in case’ moments so prepare for some completely random items like the mini hand and body lotion Charity pot by Lush, I’d like to add here that I do actually use this quite a lot, not so much for my hands but for my legs, when I don’t have time in the mornings to moisturise them, my knees start to look awful so a bit of this helps it so I don’t look like a dried up monster! I also like to support the causes that Lush give all the money raised by selling these.

Something quite similar I like to keep with me is The Body Shop hand cream, I bought a gift set with six of them in different scents at Christmas. The one I’m using at the moment is the Mango one, which smells amazing, and doesn’t leave my skin sticky either.

Then I have the usual things like tissues, hand get, wet wipes but I didn’t put them in the photo because they aren’t too interesting. (Plus they didn’t look very pretty in the photo! Haha)

Now onto the makeup, I like to keep a lipstick which I can use for all occasions so I keep the Accessorize lipstick in the shade Love Sick, it’s a beautiful dark browny, purple colour.

On some days I get really oily on my T-Zone so I always carry the Avon pressed powder and one of those small Primark brushes so I don’t look like an oily fish!

I like to keep a few pieces of the typical makeup like mascara (Ted Baker), a concealer (Rimmel Wake Me Up), a mini Benfit Flawless foundation and an eye liner (Model Co) for those times when you want to draw cat whiskers on our faces!

Lastly I keep a nail file in there, as I’m trying to grown my nails (Okay it’s not going too great but it help Someone!)

What do you keep in your makeup bag?

Stylishly Yours
