The Sunday Cleanse

The Christmas season is in sight and our lives are a little hectic buying presents, and getting the decorations up. Every street you (try) to walk down is a heaving crowd of people getting the latest deals and presents for their loved ones, whilst we never have time to stop or even have time to take a deep breath. *takes a deep breath* Recently I have been trying to find a way where I can take as little as an hour out of my Sunday evening to have a good skincare cleanse.

I like to start my deep Sunday cleanse when I have finished the main tasks for the day, if that’s doing the washing, or writing a blog post, so I don’t end up spending my relaxing time worrying that I have one hundred and one things to do! The first product I like to use is the St Ives apricot scrub to remove any oil and dirt, leaving healthy, smooth skin.

This is where I like to put on a face mask and one I have been loving recently is the Lush Cupcake mask to cleanse and draw out any dirt and impurities, this is a good mask when you don’t have as long to relax as you can leave it on for around 10-15 minutes. (This is the perfect chance to get your nose in a good book! I’m currently loving this book

The next step to my deep cleanse routine is to apply a cleanse and polish, I am in love with the Liz Earle one but I am aware that this is quite expensive so here’s a good alternative.

To moisturise I always use the Benefit Triple Performing facial cream and Its Potent eye cream. Having time out of your day just to relax helps to lower stress and keeps you happy in these busy times.

Stylishly Yours
