Last night i was invited to a party to celebrate the opening of the new bar and restaurant, The Stable. A place where there is pizza, pies and cider. It can’t get any better than that surely?
Well it can, having a rooftop bar with a fun vibe, along with live music and lovely staff, it’s defiantly the place to visit with friends, family or even for a work party! I think i’ll be a regular, especially with having live music and the friendly vibe throughout and will be very popular with the Exeter community!
Having a different menu for each restaurant depending on the local cider and ingredients is a great idea, as i find it’s always good to support local businesses and when you travel to the other restaurants, you get to try their local products which i think gives The Stable that something special compared to others.
Throughout the party, they brought out freshly made pizzas, which were thin and crispy, with lots of tomato sauce and topping!
At the top of the restaurant, you’ll find a beautiful rooftop bar which has a caravan on (Yes, you read right!) and many wooden seating areas with huge umbrellas, which is the most lovely place to watch the sun set. They really have thought about every detail within the classic design of the restaurant with wooden bars, heaters under the umbrellas, and of course, the caravan.
One of the locally sourced cider companies were Hunters Brewery, a family run brewery who uses local ingredients to produce quality cider! Paul Walker (Managing Director) and his team were so lovely, and such laugh too!
At the end of the night i received a massive goodie bag which i was defiantly not expecting at all! Inside the canvas bag was a Quicke’s Elderflower cheddar, The bath Pig Chorizo, Cornish Orchards Gold Cider, tea towel, a badge, and their menu’s.
I throughly enjoyed the night and getting to know the local businesses and people. I can’t wait to go back now! I’d love to take a moment to say thank you for the team at The Stable for inviting me along!
Have you been to The stable before? What are you thoughts?
