Beauty Haul and First Impressions

It’s not often I have time to have a proper smooch around Boots, but when i do, i use this opportunity to see all the new exciting drugstore launches. I find that recently the world of drugstore beauty have been killing it with bringing out new products and i couldn’t resist in picking them up and giving them a try!

I also have been treating myself to a few high end products too, so i thought this would be a good post to give my first impressions on as well.

Jo Malone perfume in Frech Lime Blossom.

Ive always wanted to treat myself to a Jo Malone perfume but i could never chose one which really stood out from the rest, also being completely different to my other classic scents as I’m a sucker for collecting perfumes, i love being able to pick a different scent for each mood i am feeling. I eventually picked in French Lime Blossom.

Other than my warm, floral scents, i love that this is such a fresh, clean scent. I find myself reaching for this one when I’m feeling Zen and relaxed.

Gel Wash

Honey Mask | Aqua Mask

Garnier have been on it with their recent skincare which grabs my attention, as I’m all about that water-type, fresh products. I saw the gel wash loads recently and i haven’t stopped thinking about it. I actually just used it to remove a full face of make up and it took it all off with ease which i was honestly stunned about because i didn’t know if this would really work.

I think these masks are just in Boots at the moment as i haven’t seen them around, but there are four types and these two are ones which suit my skin type. I really intrigued to try the aqua mask especially as it just sound so refreshing.

Micellar Water

I ran out of my original Micellar water and i needed an emergency one so i picked up the L’oreal one. I thought that this would be quite a strong Micellar water but it actually has no scent at all, which surprised me. I haven’t tried this yet but i love using these when I’m too tired to cleanse after a late night or when i want to give my skin a break from water as sometimes it dries my skin out.

Hand Treatment | Melt Cleanser

A couple products i picked up after my Clarins facial a couple weeks ago were the Hand and Nil Treatment and Melt-Gel Cleanser which is hands down (See what i did there!) the best hand cream i have ever used because you can see results instantly, along with the cleanser as i like that it changes into a milk which is more smoothing.

The last two products i picked up was the Origins checks and balances cleanser because i tried a sample size at a blogger event last year and loved it so much as a cleanser for the shower/mornings.

Lastly i of course picked up another Mac lipstick in Velvet Teddy. I see why this shade is so popular now, i wear it all the time as its a nude but with more colour in it, which is great when you have a bold eye look.
