I was invited to the re-launch of the new place in town. The Coombe Cellars is having a massive relaunch and to celebrate, they have refurbished the whole pub into the most beautiful place to go whether you’ve been on one of there stunning surrounding walks, a spot of lunch or an evening meal, being treated to the food they serve that you can tell how much work and attention to detail every inch of the place is loved and cared for.

I took my parents as my plus ones for this event and wasn’t that the best decision as their first blogger event was incredible to see what I get up to at a typical blogger event, although it was an absolutely amazing event to show them!

We arrived to the most beautiful array of dressings for a cheeky Gin & Tonic and of course I had to have one! The bar staff were so lovely and they showed me the best ways to dress my drink, although I had to add some raspberries and rose petals because they are so pretty!

We were introduced to the staff and the surroundings followed by a whole two plates of canapés! I was very pleasantly surprised to be served one meat plate and the other being vegetarian as being a veggie, I do find it hard to make sure I have an option I like. I was so happy when I ended up eating basically the whole plate because it was so delicious

The meal itself was unbelievably beautiful and so flavoursome that we will be going back at the end of the month to celebrate dad’s birthday! We were sat by the window which overlooks the most stunning view across the water. For starters we had a nice array between the three of us of Deep-Fried brie, Scallops of the day and Smoked salmon & king pot. Each of which were so full of flavour and were such a lovely start the the meal. Being vegetarian I do often end up with the only option of Bruschetta or mushrooms on toast so it was really nice to be able to have something different.

Scallops of the day

Again we had quite the selection of mains as I had my all time favourite food of battered halloumi which I was very excited to see on the menu! Dad had Rib-Eye steak which he said was cooked beautifully whilst mum had Seared Sea Bass Fillets. I was surprised at how fast all the dishes came out and how stunning the presentation was, defiantly Instagram worthy!

Desserts were on another level with the classic melt in your mouth brownie and dad having the apple & rhubarb crumble which looked incredible with the custard on the side. To accompany the delicious food I had lots of Citrus Gin and tonic which was the best thing that I’ve been hunting for a bottle for me! After our gorgeous dinner we had coffees which i just couldn’t resist!

The surroundings were so beautiful and it’s given me so much inspiration for when I get my own home because it was very thing I love with the dark blue, grey feels whilst dressing the rooms with gold accessories just made the rooms so warming and inviting. Each and every member of staff had a heart of gold and they couldn’t do enough for us and we didn’t feel rushed to leave for more people as there is so much space and they love for you to be able to have the time after for a drink.
